Medical Clinic

MEDICAL

For the past three years, Nomad has conducted free medical clinics in the remote regions of eastern Kenya. The first of its kind in this part of Kenya, Nomad’s medical volunteers from both Kenya and the US treat an average of 1,500 people over a three day period. Most cases involve advanced cases of HIV/AIDS, malaria, TB and water borne diseases.

Nomad works directly with the Kenyan Ministry of Health, where they provide Nomad with up to $10,000 USD worth of free medical equipment and prescription drugs.

Currently, we are starting the KIBWEZI CHILDREN’S HEALTH PROGRAM in 2009 in order to address the needs of health, nutrition, birth control, HIV/AIDS and prevention including placing mosquito nets in homes and providing clean water.
